Snead Island is off the coast of Bradenton. The eastern portion is residential, but the western side is made up of Emerson Point Preserve, a 365 acre preserve. This island also maintains many of the Native American mounds. Popular activities include hiking, fishing, and wildlife (including dolphin) watching.
